Lorene Anna Johnson, 93 formerly of Farmersville, California, passed away May 11, 2019 in Tucson, AZ.

Lorene was born in Powers County, Colorado, about 7 miles out of Lamar, on January 9,
1926. She was the youngest of four children born to John and Annie (Anderson) Johnson.

As a child being raised on a rural farm, she developed an affinity for animals and enjoyed riding her horse, Joker. She was active in church, enjoyed reading and was able to learn to play the piano. Her skills on the piano brought her enjoyment throughout her life.

Lorene attended high school in Lamar, CO. During this period, she continued to be active in her
church and enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the piano for the church. After graduation,
she attended Business College for two years. At the age of 19, she married her childhood friend, Louis Albert Morgan. Lorene and other family members would gradually move from Lamar to southern California. It is there she had three children (Eugene, Lee and Glenn) and she began the process of raising the family and starting a working career. Glenn passed away at the age of one.

Lorene continued her professional development and worked for a retail car dealership where
she was responsible for office operations and the financial and accounting functions. In addition
to working for the car dealership, she also performed all the bookkeeping for the owners of
Avocado Ranch in California.

With the extended family co-located in the same geographical area, she was able to remain very connected to and supportive of the family and enjoy all the family holiday activities.

Lorene and Louis divorced in 1960 and in 1964 she married Allen Earl. She continued to progress in her professional career and have a rich family life.

After her father’s death, Lorene and Allen moved to Lake Isabella. They had a rewarding life in
that environment, and she continued to work in accounting and became involved in real estate.
Eventually, Allen would have health issues, so they moved to Farmersville, CA.

Allen passed away in 1993. Lorene’s son, Lee, then passed away in 2016. Lorene lovingly took care of them until their passing.

Lorene lived in Farmersville until May of 2017. She moved to Independent Living at Brookdale Catalina to be near her surviving son, Eugene. She lived in a beautiful residence and location for 2 years, where she spent her life peacefully until her passing.

Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1st at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
