Linda Lou Baker danced into heaven on July 1, 2019. She grew up in the then mining town of Trinidad, Colorado, where she made memories with her brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, that marked her life irrevocably. Her loyalty and devotion to her family started then, and only multiplied. After a move to California, Linda met Joseph Daniel Baker, the love of her life. They married exactly three months after they met on April 11, 1964. Together they cultivated a legacy of true, hardworking love.

In 1979 Joe and Linda moved to a little farm on Maple Street, just outside Longmont, Colorado. There they raised three kids, goats, pigs, chickens, horses, and rabbits. On that farm land, Linda taught her kids to deeply nurture animals, to never seize celebrating life and family, and the importance of honoring their heritage. Their land was open to anybody and everybody at all times. Shown in her knock out family reunions, unending support in her grandkids lives, and her consistent open hand to those less fortunate than her; Linda was boldly generous.
Linda leaves behind her husband of fifty-five years, her beautiful children, J.D. and Janet Baker, Joanna Dawn and Shannon McClure, and Jim Baker and Christine Day, as well as her darling grandchildren, Amanda and Tracer Hudson, Danny and Aubrea Baker, Katie Baker, Justine and Jaelyn McClure, Hunter Baker, Darla Steel and Ashley Owens, also her sweet great-grandson Ty Hudson, along with many treasured aunts, uncles and cousins. While it is sad that she leaves so many behind, there is joy knowing she is celebrating her homecoming with her parents, Maryann Palacio and Ted Skinner, and her grandparents, Ann and Ramon Palacio.
