Kenneth Frank Vagle, 76, passed away on August 31st, 2019 in Longmont, CO. Kenneth was born on May 2nd, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up in Park Rapids, MN until joining the Air Force, serving at Kingsley Field as an aircraft mechanic until being Honorably discharged. He married Margery Rosenberg on April 15th, 1967, moved to Minneapolis, MN and lived there for 40 years. A devoted husband and father, he was married to Margery for 50 years, calling her his sweetheart until his passing.

Ken spent the last 25 years of his career as a plant technician at Bachmans allowing him to combine two of his favorite pastimes, gardening and spending time in the hustle and bustle of downtown Minneapolis. Ken was active in the community and especially passionate about mentoring youth through volunteer service in his church, coaching and the Boy Scouts, where he served as Cubmaster, Scoutmaster and various district wide volunteer positions over 20 years. He loved the outdoors; creating many great memories with family and friends during frequent outings camping, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling and hiking. He was well known for creativity with both his hands and his voice. He was an expert baker and skilled craftsman who excelled at various creative hobbies, from woodworking, gardening and winemaking to needlepoint and macramé. Christmas was always special in his home, with intricately designed decorations and displays. He also was an excellent singer who performed with a barbershop chorus and was a faithful member of his church choirs.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Margery and an infant daughter, Kimberly Faye. He is survived by his brother Carl, son Kurt, daughter-in-law Senta and his two grandchildren Madelyn and Annika. Interment will be in Lake Fremont Cemetery, Dunnell, MN on September 14th, 2019, with a celebration of his life to be announced at a later date.
