My gratitude, love and great respect to a generous, loving man and his beautiful wife. Fred gave me a job when I first moved to Berthoud, Co with my five children the same year he purchased the Wayside Inn. What fun, what chicken and what warmth.
Fred became a star, first of chicken and then an entertainer. Fiddler On the Roof, he was the star and great at it. He was a kind patient man and his loving wife Annely was his support. Fred, Annely and their three children were family for all of us who worked together. I love them for their acceptance and caring. I just heard about their deaths today, less than an hour ago, I am sorry to have missed their service. They have never been or ever will be forgotten. They are surely in the presence of God.

Anne Marie, Jon and Mike:
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your parents this week. May the Lord comfort and bless you in this time of your sorrow.
We will miss meeting your folks at the post office or at the basketball games, even after our children were no longer playing. We still remember the shock of the fire at the Wayside Inn and the joy when it reopened.
God is still in control. May His peace comfort you and lift you up each day.

Dear Anne Marie, Jonathon & Michael - One of my favorite memories of your dad is at the Aspen Buffet. He is in the kitchen, cooking away but belting out songs from Schoolhouse Rock. Specifically one about Adverbs. I remember him whenever I use the word quietly. Take good care of yourselves and each other. Much love to all of you.

My family lived down the block from the Petersons in Longmont. I remember the time spent with them fondly, playing with Anne Marie and the boys. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson were the nicest, kindest most generous people you could ever meet. I feel so fortunate for having known them. My condolences to the family during this difficult time.
