Obituary

Fay A. Reynolds, 86 of Longmont, died May 22, 2019.

She was born April 11, 1933 in Reading, Pennsylvania to H. Leonard and Daisy K. (Moyer) Weiler.

Fay graduated from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania with a BS in Chemistry. She worked in the Spokane Public Library in Spokane, Washington for 19 years until she moved to Longmont in 1980. Fay then worked in various clerical positions while living in Longmont.

She also raised, trained and showed English Springer Spaniels and German Shorthair Pointers in Pennsylvania and Washington. Fay was a member of the Inland Empire Kennel Club, Inland Empire English Springer Spaniel Club and was one of the founders of the Inland Empire German Shorthair Pointer Club.

Fay also was a member of the Washington Library Association, AARP, AAUW in Colorado, Friends of the Longmont Senior Center, the Colorado and Wyoming Association of Museums, the Friends of the Longmont Museum, the Steering Committee for Envision 2020 and was a charter member of the Friends of the Longmont Public Library, enjoyed collecting coins, and was a member of the local club. Fay also served on several boards and commissions of the City of Longmont and Boulder County.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn A. Blodgett, in 1995; and her parents.

Survivors include her son, Robert J. Reynolds of Horsham, Pennsylvania; a son-in-law, Stephen Blodgett of Lower Gwynedd Township, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren, Jesse J. Reynolds II, Kristen E. Blodgett, and Kimberly A. Blodgett.

No services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Longmont Senior Center or to Friends of the Longmont Museum and sent to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Share condolences at www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com.

She was never afraid to voice her opinion and she paid close attention to current events. Fay was very involved in our community and will be missed.
