Obituary for Ramona R. Leno

Ramona R. Leno
A RARE GEM, our precious Mom/Grandma Ramona R. Leno has passed into Heaven on February 9, 2018. She was 87.
She was born in Hazelton, North Dakota to Jacob and Minnie Wacker.
Ramona went to beauty college in Bismarck, North Dakota where she worked as a beautician. She met David Leno at a dance in Wing, ND. They married on June 15, 1952, in Linton, ND.
Shortly after moving to Bismarck, her and David owned and operated Leno's Standard Service Station where she was the bookkeeper along with various other hats. This became a family run business. Her main focus was being a mother and homemaker.
In 1979, the family moved to Longmont, Colorado. She worked at Western Cutlery for a number of years before her retirement. After which she enjoyed volunteering at the Our Center for 15+ years.
Ramona was a member of New Creation Church. Along with being a participant of the Soaring Eagles, she recently became part of the widows group.
Ramona's concern for others needs came before her own. Always a friendly greeting with a hug. Her love for people did not go unnoticed. Elegant from head (her hair her crowning glory) to toe.
Spending time with her family and friends brought her great joy.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, David, daughter Brenda, brothers Robert and James, sister Ruby and grandson Jamie.
Ramona is survived by three children, Steven Leno (Bobbie) of Penrose, CO, Kimberly Beurskens (Aaron) of Raymore, MO and Becky Leno of Longmont; four grandchildren, Dillon (Camille) Leno, Syriah Leno, Alexis and Spencer Beurskens; three great-grandchildren, Natalie Roberts, Ryleigh Dutcher and Viscaria Jean Louise Leno; sisters, Norma Leno (Edward) and Virginia Johnson of Bismarck, ND; one brother Eldon Wacker also of Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at New Creation Church, 737 Bross Street in Longmont. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to the Our Center. Visit to share condolences.
