Megan Davis
Megan Davis, 31, of Longmont, CO died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 while trying to save her dog, Dozer, whom she loved dearly. Megan was born April 12, 1983 in Minneapolis, MN to Patrick and Barbara (Schanno) McCarthy.

Megan’s family moved to Longmont before she was 1 year old. She graduated from Longmont High School in 2001 and later received her associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Front Range Community College in Fort Collins.

Megan and Michael Davis met at Longmont High School and later married on September 20, 2008 at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Loveland, CO. She worked at Pella Corner Animal Hospital and filled in at Sunflower Spa. In December 2011 Megan and Michael welcomed their son, Levi, into the world.

Megan loved being outdoors enjoying mudding/4-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking, camping, traveling, and dancing. Most of all Megan loved spending family time with Mike and Levi. She adored and loved playing with her dogs and cats.

Megan was a most loving person who was the shining star in every room she entered. She was an extremely caring wife, mother, sister, daughter, mentor and friend.

Megan is survived by her husband Mike, son Levi, mother Barbara Schanno, brother Brian McCarthy (Nicky), sister Shannon McCarthy, mother-in-law Janet Chandler (Steve), father-in-law Larry Davis (Pam) and brother-in-law Chris Davis (Joanna).
